Joel Urban B.App.Sc(Pod)

Joel had his first experience with podiatry as an 11-year-old growing up in Adelaide. Suffering from a growth related condition causing him to sit out from sport and other activities, podiatry treatment was successful in providing relief and he was impressed! So impressed that after completing year 12 in 1995, he enrolled in Podiatry at the University of South Australia. Combining his studies with training with the Southern Redbacks – the South Australia cricket team — kept him busy and opened him up to the life of professional sport. By 2000 the cricket career was over and work as a podiatrist commenced at the various clinics under the banner of Sydney City Podiatry. During the last six years Joel has enjoyed working with the young team of podiatrists and has treated and managed conditions of people of all ages. Similar to his youth his main interests are in sport – this time sports injury and he has treated amateur footballers of all codes: runners, dancers and the occasional AFL stars. That said, he enjoys the diversity in covering all aspects of podiatry including management of general podiatry issues, through to the more complex problems. Working in this field suits his caring, helpful personality.
